Learn to Draw for Children | September

Instructor: Suzanne Robinson In this class students will learn to draw using pencil, colored pencil and pastels. Each class will begin with a group instruction period followed by students working on individual projects at their own pace with support by the instructor. This is a fine art course and is recommended for young students who are serious about learning to draw, and able to sit and focus for an hour and a half class. **Students who are interested in a less structured, more playful environment, where they can get experience with various media, do art and make crafts would enjoy the art club environment on Wednesdays more. ** Students are responsible for their own supplies and should bring the following to their first class: • Sketch pad either 9x12 or 11x14 • Starter set of Drawing Pencils (at least 4) This set has a good assortment: (https://www.michaels.com/artists-loft-fundamentals-sketching-and-drawing-set/10125028.html • 1 Kneaded & 1 white eraser • Blending stump • Colored pencil set (either Crayola or Prismatic) • Set of Chalk Pastels (minimum of 12) • A picture or pictures of subjects they would like to draw * The cost of monthly classes will now be the same each month to make it easier to budget. It's based on a year of classes divided by 12. * Covid Policy To keep our guests and staff safe: - Masks are now optional indoors due to the low infection rates. - If you have any cold or allergy symptoms we ask that students mask for the safety of others. - Instructors will wear masks to protect our business and to ensure students who choose to mask are supported. - We reserve the right to change mask requirements at any time based on current conditions. We keep extras on hand. - Our classrooms & Gathering Gallery are outfitted with air cleaners with hepa filters. - All high touch surfaces are disinfected regularly especially bathrooms, chairs, door handles and tables. - Hand sanitizer is available throughout the building. - Staff & instructors are vaccinated & boosted There is inherent risk in any social gathering during the pandemic. You may cancel for credit up to 48 hours before the first class of the course. There are no refunds. There are no credits or refunds for classes missed after the course begins.
