Believe it or not, sometimes, while drawing, we forget to look with our eyes, - and instead, we draw from the information in our minds. ( our assumptions about what we see )
To draw something unfamiliar or what we think is difficult, we need to observe closely. Trying to draw the transparency and reflections of glass, can give us the opportunity to stop thinking for a moment, so we can really notice what’s going
on in our subject matter, and to figure out how to express that artistically. With this project, we’ll work from a close - up photograph taken of glass objects. On white drawing paper with pencil, we’ll sketch a general outline, then concentrate on shading the different shapes and patterns within, to create the look of glass.
Masks are required.
