Intuitive Pastel Painting with Suzanne

Roll out the red carpet for yourself, because you can’t mess it up!

Let’s go back to the magic, beauty and joy of color. Colors sitting side by side, muddled

together, weaving in and out of each other, large expansive areas blending then disappearing

and small accents popping out from nowhere.

You will be inspired by a natural still life brimming with colors set up by your instructor. We’ll

work with pastel on tinted paper, placing patches and blotches of color, layering and smearing

them as we observe where they exist in the still life. We’ll build a map of colors, without being

fixated on an outcome to allow the abstract piece to unfold by itself.

Supplies provided.
