Service Description

Instructor: Suzanne Robinson In this class students will learn to draw using pencil, colored pencil and pastels. Classes will include drawing from still lives and photos to learn drawing techniques, while utilizing different drawing tools and developing an understanding of composition and perspective. This is a fine art course and is recommended for students who are serious about learning to draw, and able to sit and focus for an hour and a half class. **Students who are interested in a less structured, more playful environment, where they can get experience with various media, do art and make crafts would enjoy the art club environment on Thursdays more. ** Students are responsible for their own supplies and should bring the following to their first class: • Sketch pad either 9x12 or 11x14 • Starter set of Drawing Pencils (at least 4) This set has a good assortment: (https://www.michaels.com/artists-loft-fundamentals-sketching-and-drawing-set/10125028.html • 1 Kneaded & 1 white eraser • Blending stump • Colored pencil set (either Crayola or Prismatic) • Set of Chalk Pastels (minimum of 12) To keep our guests and staff safe: - If your child is sick please keep them home. - Our classrooms & Gathering Gallery are outfitted with air cleaners with hepa filters. - Hand sanitizer is available throughout the building.

Cancellation Policy

There are no refunds. You may cancel for credit up to 48 hours before the first class of the course. There are no credits or refunds for classes missed after the course begins.
