Instructor: Kaitlyn Coppens In this course we will cover the basics of using oil paints. From the underpainting, color theory, to the finishing varnish, we will go through all the basic knowledge you need to gain confidence painting with oils and then build your skill with practice and continuing instruction in subsequent classses. Though this is a beginner friendly paint class, basic drawing skills are needed. If you are just starting your artistic journey you should take the drawing basics course before any painting courses to give you a solid foundation to build on. You must bring your own supplies. You can choose either water soluble or regular oil paints. Water soluble is somewhat less toxic and oil paints require a solvent. If you choose regular oil paints, you can only bring non toxic & odorless solvents like gamsol into the classroom. Cancellation Policy

There are no refunds. You may cancel for credit up to 48 hours before the first class of the course. There are no credits or refunds for classes missed after the course begins.
