renewal: the act of becoming new again

exhibit from March 25 to May 5

Submissions accepted through March 3

Notification of acceptance status will be sent March 5

Challenge triggers growth, from the cold of winter comes the beauty of spring, from the pain of loss the appreciation of life. We have all experienced periods of renewal through changes that were unexpected or unwanted, but resulted in a new perspective or a fresh start.

Eclipse is partnering with the Montgomery County Poet Laureate to present art & poetry for this exhibition. Poetry will be displayed in the gallery with the art. We will be hosting poetry readings during this exhibition as well.

Submissions are now open for work that represents renewal for you.

Do not let the theme limit you, it is a starting point, not a final destination.

Opening Reception Friday, March 25 from 6 to 9 pm

How do you host a successful opening in a pandemic that just won't go away?

I don't know either, but we are going to try. This show needs to be seen! There's so much incredible art you don't want to miss. Please plan to join us for the opening of "It's the Process..." January 28 from 6 to 8 pm.

In lieu of our usual refreshments there will be small gifts for attendees, plus a chance to win a $50 gift card good for any class or event (unless otherwise indicated in the description). I hope you will come out and see the incredible show our gallerist, Kaitlyn Coppens, has put together.

Mark your calendar - January 28, 6 to 8 pm

Masks are required in the facility, preferably surgical or better, we have extras on hand if you need one

Process art: an artistic movement where the end product is not the principal focus. The process of gathering, sorting, associating, patterning, and the actions and technique of making it are important aspects of the piece, if not the most important. Process artists see art as pure human expression.

We invite any artists who create heavily using process and have the process being their primary “concept”. Weavings, textile work, printmaking, papercut works, multimedia, collage, sculpture, or however you create that is heavily process based! Submissions accepted through December 28. Notification of submission status will be sent December 29.
