Show from November 19 through January 7

Luminescence: emission of light by a substance not resulting from heat (synonyms) flare, gleam, glow, illumination, radiance, shine


The shorter days of winter and the holiday season are still full of light - flickering candles, twinkling trees, the glisten of a tear, the flush of a cheek, the warm glow of a window welcoming you home…luminous, comforting, sometimes with a touch of melancholy and reminiscence of joy.


This show will be limited to small works of original art to share the luminescence of the season with others. Photography, 2d and 3d work is welcome but must be 18” or less on any side. This show will run until January 7, but sold works will be permitted to be taken off the wall December 4 for Hanukkah and December 18 through the closing for Christmas and Kwanzaa gift giving.


Submissions accepted through October 26.


Notification of submission status will be sent October 29.

  • Installation pitches will be accepted. One installation pitch per form.

  • All 2d or 3d work must be under 18" on any side.

  • Photos of submitted must be print quality (300dpi), you may include 2 photos per submission.

  • If your piece is framed make sure at least one of your photos shows the current frame.

  • This show will be juried.

  • You may attach up to four works or one installation pitch per submission.

Submission fee $20


If you wish to send in MORE than FOUR works, or more than one installation pitch, you may complete another $20 submission form.


Gallery Commission 40%, we cover processing fees and sales tax.



Eclipse is proud to join the other 40+ arts organizations in the first ever ArtsMontco Week supporting the businesses that help build a thriving community.

The ArtsMontco week just happens to coincide with the start of our fine art classes and fun weekend events. I hope you'll take some time to look at the fine art classes for adults and children on our website at www. eclipsec3.com/classes, We also have lunch break yoga at noon on Fridays and the Afterschool Art Club starts September 21.

In addition to classes starting we have a full slate of special events:

  • September 23, 7 to 9 pm: Workshop "Access Your Inner Artist" A mindful journey toward a more creative life with Lorna Cassano and Dana Piscopo $75 pp, upstairs in Suite 107

  • September 24, 6 to 9 pm: Opening reception for Phantasma - our inaugural spook show for the Halloween season. Phantasma will be available for viewing in our gallery from Sept. 24 through November 4. Show in Upper Gallery and Main Gallery. Free event, refreshments available

  • September 25, 7 to 9 pm: Paint Party with Niki - "Howl at the Moon" $39 pp BYOB & refreshments, upstairs in Suite 107

  • September 25, 7 to 9 pm: Meet the Poet Laureate, book signing and poetry reading by Paul Siegell, the 2021 Montgomery County Poet Laureate. Free event (donations for MCPL gratefully accepted). in the Gathering Gallery, lower level

I hope you will come out and support the arts and artists in Montgomery County. They make life more beautiful and enjoyable every day, especially when they are doing "spooky" art about ghost donuts. (Art by Barbara Martin "Sweet Dreams")




Join us as for one last look (and chance to buy) the incredible art from the Sunshine Show Friday, September 10 from 6 to 9 pm. Many of the artists will be in attendance and refreshments will be provided.
